Final Fantasy 1 & 2 Heading to iPhone, Tarted Up

10
The first two entries in Square's much-beloved Final Fantasy series are headed to the iPhone with revamped graphics, Square Enix has announced via Facebook.

Final Fantasy II is the original Japanese title--not to be confused with the game released in North America under the name Final Fantasy II, which was in fact Final Fantasy IV.

Square Enix has yet to reveal release dates or prices but says to "stay tuned!"

i'll keep my fingers crossed that they're not going to try to milk this for 9.99 each, but i don't have my hopes up.

Max I'd pay is 6.99 for this. Those saves want to charge almost $10 for their crappy turret game. FF which probably won't max out more than a 100mb install can't cost them that much.

There will be sales. These games often come out at $10 and eventually have then on sale for $6 or less.

What bothers me is that you never know when a sale begins and ends, so I end up buying them for full price. =/

It's so much better on Steam, where you're explicitly told when a sale ends... You don't have to be scared it'll over before you make up your mind.

you can use any app tracking sites/apps. a favorite of mine is appshopper.com, find what you want, add it to your want list, and then create yourself an rss feed and it will notify you whenever something in your favorites list changes (whether its price or an update).

i have 38 on my list right now, just waiting for a price drop. 370 on my itouch, so no hurry for those 38...
