The Creative Assembly's Napoleonic latest entry in its large-scale warfare strategy series Total War will arrive for PC on February 23, publisher Sega has announced.

Napoleon: Total War sees players rewriting history from the general's early days in Italian and Egyptian campaigns through the ill-fated invasion of Russia, all leading to europop's favourite battle at Waterloo. Improvements are promised over Empire: Total War in areas including diplomacy, the campaign map, and land and naval battles.

The announcement is celebrated with a new trailer of mixed cinematics and gameplay, and a blog post by creative director Mike Simpsons explaining "Why Napoleon?"

If only I could trust CA to release a game without so many showstopping bugs that you're wasting money by buying it on release day :(

I haven't been able to play the game without something crashing since an nvidia driver update about a year ago. If i roll back my drivers it plays fine. Otherwise, something horrendous inevitably happens. I know this is purely isolated and anecdotal, but I'm a huge TW fan so Empire really upset me with all its issues.

same here. I haven't come across such horrible customer service since the days of DOS gaming.
