Modern Warfare 2 PC Patch Nukes Hacks, Pirates
by Alice O'Connor, Jan 14, 2010 5:53am PSTInfinity Ward has released a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 patch on PC through Steam to fix a handful of hacks, glitches and exploits as well as segregate pirates.
- Fix for latest texture hacks
- Fix to prevent players from getting inside geo
- Fix to prevent players with illegally pirated copies of Modern Warfare 2 from matchmaking with legitimate Modern Warfare 2 players
- Connection improvements for NAT-PMP routers
- Fix for "elevator" glitch that allows players to get out of playable area
Publisher Activision announced yesterday that the shooter sequel has passed $1 billion US in estimated worldwide retail sales. Given how successful the map packs for Call of Duty: World at War were, the multiple Modern Warfare 2 downloadable content releases expected this spring should prove a nice little money-spinner too.

Xbox One achievements dynamic, not limited to single games

On another note.. I was just think was awesome this is.. A 5 mb patch, and the pirates have to download the entire thing again if they want to play.. :P
