Capcom Lets Fan Artists Create Final Fight Box Art

Capcom has announced an interesting fan-driven contest to decide the retail box art for Final Fight: Double Impact, Blue Byte's upcoming online-enabled versions of two classic arcade titles: Final Fight and Magic Sword.

Interested parties can showcase their mad inking skills by adding color to a black and white drawing of the game's box art. The drawing, created by artist Alvin Lee of Udon Entertainment, can be downloaded from the Capcom-Unity Blog in both .PDF and .JPEG formats.

Submissions will be accepted until January 25th (12PM, PST) via email or regular mail. If submitting via email, you'll need to keep the file size under 5 megs. You'll also need to be a U.S. resident over the age of 13 to participate. Check out the complete contest rules for more information.

Capcom staffers will select the top five submissions and users will then be able cast votes for their favorite on the Capcom-Unity website during the first week of February. Along with their work being selected as the game's official box art for the game, the winner will also receive an all-expenses paid trip for two to New Orleans for Capcom's exclusive Captivate event, a free poster, a copy of the game, and some "additional swag." Four runners-up will also get a free copy of Final Fight: Double Impact and "some goodies."

Final Fight: Double Impact arrives sometime in April for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
