Sony Will Offer European Heavy Rain Box Art to Download and Print

The official North American box art for Heavy Rain, Quantic Dream's upcoming cinematic adventure game, was confirmed yesterday via the official PlayStation Blog.

While everyone's entitled to their own opinions, there seem to be a significant number of folks (myself included) who are partial to the much more ominous and mysterious cover gracing the European version of the game. Not that there's anything wrong with a wet, chesty women in a tank-top. Ahem.

When a North American forum member who also preferred the European box art asked if a formatted printable .PDF version would be made available to those outside Europe, Associate Product Manager Cristian Cardona, chimed in late last night. "We'll be doing that for those that would prefer the UK artwork," he replied. "Keep an eye out on the blog around launch!"

Heavy Rain is due out exclusively on the PlayStation 3 in North America on February 23rd, the European mainland a day later, and the UK and Ireland on February 26th. Episodic downloadable content is already planned post-release at $4.99 a pop; however, those who preorder the game will get the first episode, called "The Taxidermist," for free.
