EA Confirms NBA Jam Revival

14
Sporting video game giant Electronic Arts today announced that, as rumored, it has acquired the rights to produce a new entry in the classic arcade series NBA Jam.

Coming to the Wii in 2010, "EA SPORTS NBA JAM" is being developed by EA Canada (NBA Live, NBA Street), with the company boasting that the revival packs "the sights and sounds that fans of the franchise will instantly recognize" and adds "true-to-life body types, updated physics, and visible player emotion to the over-the-top experience."

Also promised were "new game modes, characters and gameplay depth," with EA Sports president Peter Moore remarking "NBA JAM is one of the most recognizable franchises in videogame history....Diehard fans of the original game have been asking for a remake for more than a decade. We're very excited to give them their wish this year."

    On the Wii only?

Yeah, that's pretty much my only issue with this. I would much prefer it on the Xbox.
