Developer Remedy has released a splurge of Alan Wake media, including new screenshots, footage, and just over 22 minutes of gameplay culled from E3 2009 and Tokyo Game Show 2009 showings you may have missed.

Publisher Microsoft recently announced that more chapters in the "action thriller" will arrive as downloadable content after the Xbox 360 version releases this spring. Unfortunately nothing was said of the PC version, the fate of which still hangs in the balance.

As for all that E3 and Tokyo Game Show footage, it follows just below:

Alan Wake - E3 2009 Extended Gameplay Part 1

Alan Wake - E3 2009 Extended Gameplay Part 2

Alan Wake - TGS 2009 Police Escape Gameplay

When was the last MS published 360 game that saw a pc release? Gears of War 1? Fable? There hasn't been anything at all worth mentioning besides those two. It's not coming to PC.

If that's their attitude, I don't want it to be released on PC at all, especially if they're going to half-ass farm it out to some unrelated dev house who doesn't have the same passion for the game, and is being whipped like a mule to make the release deadline.

Halo PC was delayed out to 2003, and it was pumped out by Gearbox looking far slower than native PC games released years later than Halo XBox.

Halo 2 was developed by a team independent from Bungie, and it was DX10 in 2007. I didn't hear very glowing reviews on it. No Halo 3 PC was announced, as far as I know.

Gears of War PC (it's an MGS game; it counts) was developed by People Can Fly, and it wasn't so good, from what I heard; people kept saying, "Just get the 360 version, it's much better." Add to that the game executable code signing certificate expiring in late January 2009, meaning that those who did own the game had to wait for Epic / PCF to release a patch.

Halo 2 on pc was fucked. Mouse had some really funky stuff going on. And live...ugh...pay for multi on a pc.

Wasn't AW conceived as a primarily PC game? Doesn't that mean that they have years of work sunk into what is probably a working product on the platform?

I don't understand the logic behind curbing all that work just because of piracy scares....look at every other major game release recently (MW2 comes to mind)....sure it was pirated, but god damn if it didn't make a shitload of money in the process!

Microsoft Game Studios has zero PC games in development. It's been this way since the possibility of Alan Wake on PC was announced as "up in the air" back in July.
