Evening Reading: 3D 3D

By Greg Mueller, Jan 08, 2010 5:00pm PST Here's a fresh chatty for you all to enjoy on this Friday night. We've had our ups and we've had our downs, but it's been a pretty good first week to start off the new year. It will no doubt be remembered as vividly and with the same fondness as all the other first-weeks-of-the-year past. That is, not much at all.

The weekend is almost upon us. May yours be as fun and exciting as an endless stream of sharp news, snappy headlines, and witty comments from Faylor, Alice, Garnett, Jeff, and the rest of the Shack.

In case you missed it, here's a taste of all the fun and excitement we had today:

  • Played another round of Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game tonight.

We had 6 people and this was the second game for 4 of us, first time for 2. It was a blast. It took a long time to play. I was a cylon again right out the gate, and someone ended up looking at my card early, so I announced myself as a cylon early (the first game I hid till near the end). So close to winning, but those pesky humans jumped to victory with 1 each of 3 resources, and 2 of the other. The game still felt good, but we all basically commented that we felt there should be more/better interaction on suspecting people are cylons, I dunno, maybe it's just how we play, we're all smart enough to look at what cards are played and deduce fairly accurately who played which negative cards... or maybe we're just not good at being sneaky cylons...

Anyway, if you've played Shadows over Camelot and like that kind of game, check this out. Though yeah, there are spoilers in the game, so don't play if you haven't seen the show yet and plan to. Why you haven't seen it yet is kind of absurd...
