  I read them in high school, plus the next five called the Mallorean. They were awesome and I've been meaning to read them again (18 years later). My wife got on a reading kick and she tore through them this summer.
  
  Only thing that sucked was finishing em. 10 books of that size with the same characters and you get pretty attached.
