"This is the next level," declares the video embedded below. "This is Backbreaker."

Coming from "euphoria" real-time animation technology developer NaturalMotion, the physics-driven football game is due on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this spring.

It looks promising, but the lack of "official licensing" will hold it back severely.

There are too many people for whom the enjoyment of such games is inexplicably linked to the appearance of some specific corporate/team logo, or the name of a particular sports personality.
