Gran Turismo 5 Trailer Celebrates Cover Car
by Alice O'Connor, Jan 07, 2010 7:20am PSTGran Turismo 5 developer Polyphony Digital has announced that the Mercedes SLS AMG will be the cover car for its PlayStation 3-exclusive racer, celebrating with a new trailer.
The SLS AMG will be available to drive in GT5, with--we're told--a top speed of 197mph and--we insightfully notice--doors that open like Doc Brown's DeLorean time machine in Back to the Future.
Gran Turismo 5 lands in Japan on March 5 but worldwide release details have yet to be revealed. For now, you'll have to make do with the demo.

Yeah, this seems like a "just get it released already" thing. Prologue was out in spring 2008; I remember trying it out and doing perfect R8 runs on Daytona. Polyphony Digital even got the in-car info display for the Nissan R35 GT-R released before GT5.

Fire your production staff.
Really, if you aren't a car person, why are you reporting on GT5? You can't possibly understand the allure of the game unless you are the type of person that knows these things. Why else would the old cars they are putting in there be exciting if you didn't know what they were?
If nothing else, take out there "insightfully noticed" part unless you really are just trying to mock the car.
