Phoenix Wright Sentenced to WiiWare Monday

1
Capcom sends word that intrepid attorney Phoenix Wright's very first adventure, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, will be available as a WiiWare download next Monday, January 11.

Originally released on the Game Boy Advance in Japan circa 2001 and re-released internationally with enhanced features on the Nintendo DS come 2005, the latest edition of the courtroom adventure utilizes the Wii's motion controls to "present evidence with the wave of the Wii remote or press suspicious testimonies by wiggling it."

For 1000 Wii Points ($10), would-be legal eagles can once again "collect evidence, weed through inconsistent testimonies and overcome corrupt agendas to ensure that justice prevails!" A bonus episode originally available on the Nintendo DS version will also be downloadable through WiiWare sometime in May, for 100 Wii Points.

As previously reported, this marks the first of Phoenix Wright's three adventures slated to hit WiiWare this year, with the second due in March and the third in May. And speaking of virtual litigation, the peripherally-related Nintendo DS title, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, will be getting a playable demo via the Nintendo Channel "in a few weeks," with the full game hitting stores on February 16.
