Trauma Team Wii Trailer is Surgically Precise
by Jeff Mattas, Jan 05, 2010 4:20pm PSTAtlus U.S.A. released a new trailer showing the first gameplay footage from Trauma Team, the upcoming surgical romp for the Nintendo Wii. According to a rather unsettling quote from Atlus PR and Sales Manager Aram Jabbari, "Cutting people open has never looked so good."
Trauma Team's campaign follows mysterious surgeon CR-S01, who is serving a 250-year prison sentence for an undisclosed "terrible crime". Little more is revealed about the story, but I feel sorry for his patients already.
The trailer focuses on Surgery mode, one of six different gameplay modes in Trauma Team. As you can see in the trailer, Trauma Team bears a striking (though enhanced) resemblance to the Trauma Center games, also published by Atlus. Stitches, lasers, and defibrillators are just a few of the familiar tools available, though unlike Trauma Center, Trauma Team does away with pesky mission timers. You'll still have to keep an eye on patients' vital signs though.
Slated for release on April 20, 2010, Trauma Team comes out exclusively for the Nintendo Wii.
