Evening Reading: Putting the Oughts to Bed
by Garnett Lee, Dec 31, 2009 6:00pm PSTIf you'd told me last New Year's Eve that a year later I'd be writing the last Evening Reading of the decade on Shacknews I'd probably have looked at you dumbfounded. Sitting here doing it this evening I couldn't be more pleased with how things have worked out. Getting reacquainted with Shack has been great. We've got a great team, a great community, and fantastic support to carry us into 2010 and well beyond.
We've been posting our games to look forward to in 2010 today. I'll have mine coming tomorrow along with a collection of our resolutions for the New Year. Hope you'll take a moment to check them out and add to the conversation when time allows. Have a fun and safe New Year's Eve whatever your celebration plans.
I'll leave you with this great quote my friend Sterling tweeted earlier today: "The world isn't coming to an end. It's already tomorrow in Australia."
Xbox One does not provide any built-in DVR capabilities
Xbox One increases friends lists to 1,000

Do not miss this sale because you need Crysis to play MechWarrior Living Legends!
Shackserver has been full for the last few hours and this mod is very good for a first beta. Some bugs but generally awesome.

Look on the right, under Game Details where it lists 3rd-party DRM
Guess what? Crysis isn't the only game on there. You have to really pay attention. I make every effort to avoid buying games with SecuROM, but sometimes they've slipped by me. I've been getting better about it, though.
For example, Borderlands itself doesn't have any 3rd party DRM on Steam, but they fucking added a 5 activation limit to the DLC http://store.steampowered.com/app/8990/
