LittleBigPlanet Sackie Awards Recap and Voting for Level of the Year

Oh those cheeky Brits. Throughout Decemeber LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule has been handing out "Sackies" from the Sackademy of LittleBigPlanet Arts. These awards recognized the best in a variety of categories for user-created levels and content in the game.

The Official PlayStation Blog recaps the winners today and reminds us that there's still time to get in votes for the biggest Sackie of them all: the Level of the Year Award. Unlike the other awards which were chosen by the Media Molecule team, you get to vote for your favorite LittleBigPlanet level.

The announcement also notes that LittleBigPlanet now hosts more than 1.5 million user-created levels. With even the simplest of designs requiring a good bit of effort that's an impressive total. Media Molecule is on record that a sequel is not in the works but even with strong DLC support one wonders how long that will hold true...
