New footage of Tecmo KOEI's First of the North Star-inspired Dynasty Warriors spin-off Hokuto Musou has emerged via the game's official site, as noticed by andriasang.

Based on the well-known anime and manga, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 action game combines the face-exploding series with the numerous foes of the Dynasty Warriors games. Alongside a mode that's "faithful to the spirit of the original manga," there will also be a "completely new storyline."

Before we get to gameplay, though, why don't we take a look at some CG cinematics: /em>

With that out of the way, some snippets of gameplay follow below:

Japan gets Hokuto Musou in March, with no specifics yet on the English release.

Fist of the North Star is so over the top it's perfect for videogame logic.

    Character renders look good.

Yeah, Ken and Ra-oh look straight out of the movie. If that was Rei in the rain, they've taken some liberties.

That is Rei and that's how he looks.

If you've only seen the movie then you'd think he looks weird but in the manga his hair is darker and that's the source they're using

Yah, I meant, they've taken some liberties as far as "straight out of the movie". I assumed it was him, but the glimpse was so quick.
