Morning Discussion: Power Out

"I woke up with the power out," our jolly ol' friend Alice might say of her current situation, were she here and a fan of The Arcade Fire. Does she like The Arcade Fire, or even know of them? I don't know. I hope so. I'd ask, but, you know, her power is out.

Not just "the heart of man" kind of power, mind you. Electricity, the kind that helps provide us with toasty Pop Tarts in the morn and the light to keep monsters away in the eve. I'm not worried, though. We've fought side-by-side countless times in Left 4 Dead. Should the worst come to light, or rather, darkness, she knows to start grabbing pills.

Well MO > KS even though rosewood is in KS. I detest KS and all it stands for (especially the freeways there).

You are drunk. Kansas has the best roads in the country. Seriously, our highways win awards. Go watch the first season of feasting on asphalt and note they stop at the KS/CO border to point out how shitty the CO road is compared to the KS road. Same thing in KC when going into KC MO. I35 is fucking awful in OK compared to KS.

the only time i've been through kansas i encountered the worst roads i've ever seen. i was driven the length of the state twice from west to east and east to west.

we didn't stick solely with I-70 but most of the places we were were off of it.

It's true, but i-35 is also a toll road for much of KS, as is I-70, which helps keep the roads in better condition. Personally, I think are highways are usually pretty good - when they get really bad it's not long till they get repaired.

for a couple of reasons. I don't have a hard date in mind or anything but the last time i scheduled a party i was sent out of town for work. January (at least the first part) i'm going to be out of town. the first part of February i'll also be out of town. i'm not sure of the exact duration of the former trip but the latter should be rather short.

Also, it will give me time to properly clean and for my wife to create lots of tasty treats. i shall keep everyone updated when i know more about my work schedule.

really i'm so caught up on end of the year stuff that i'm only vaguely looking forward. once jan hits i'll start thinking of some likely dates. the downside is that since we are spread out there is no one prime location so i figured my house is as good as any.
