Rock Band DLC: Gambling with Country

3
"You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em." That's why Rock Band developer Harmonix is bringing a second downloadble bundle of "Going Country" songs to the music game series a year and a week or so after the first one hit.

Packing some, but not all, of the tunes that were temporarily exclusive to the physical "Rock Band Country Track Pack", the downloads hit Xbox 360 and Wii on December 28, then PlayStation 3 on January 7. Per usual, each song will sell individually for 160 Microsoft Points / 200 Wii Points / $2, with the full pack at 880 MS Points / $11.

    Going Country Pack 02
    • Alan Jackson - "Good Time"
    • Cross Canadian Ragweed - "Cry Lonely"
    • Jason Aldean - "She's Country"
    • Keith Urban - "I Told You So"
    • Kenny Rogers - "The Gambler"
    • Martina McBride - "This One's For the Girls"
    • Shania Twain - "Any Man of Mine"

Don't forget, "there'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin's done."

But that's not all, as three downloadable Paul McCartney tunes are slated to hit Xbox 360 and Wii (at least in the UK) on January 5, priced at (you guessed it) 160 Microsoft Points / 200 Wii Points / $2 each. The PlayStation 3 release then follows on January 7.

    New York City Pack 01
    • "Band on the Run (Live)"
    • "Jet (Live)"
    • "Sing the Changes (Live)"

I'm hip to the whole Rock Band add songs via DLC thing but I wish they'd get a better and larger selection of country songs. Other than the Gambler and Shania Twain's song, the rest are pretty much songs that aren't well-known or terribly popular (as far as I can see). Kind of disappointing. :(

The sexy tractor song is pretty hilarious, and Toby Keith's I love this bar is always a hit. Other than that I agree, I'd love to see some more Brad Paisley and Trace Adkins. At least Brad Paisley would keep the guitar showboating crowd happy, that mofo can play.
