PSP Digital Comics Service Launches

4
Announced back in August, the PSP's digital comics service has met its promised December launch, with the service now available in the US, UK, and other territories.

The offerings include a wide variety of comics, from Archie & Friends to 2000AD's Judge Dredd to Marvel's X-Men to IDW's Zombies vs. Robots and more, with US prices mostly falling in the range of free to $2.99 per issue. But don't go looking for Batman or Superman--DC Comics isn't currently on board.

Cool thing but the price is WAY too high for a digitized comic-book. :(

This is a problem for ALL physical->digital transitions.

      Music, Movies, Games, Books.

I will not pay the same price for a rights-restricted, potentially temporary "book" as I do for a physical, lendable, transferable BOOK.

Last time I was at the comic book store the comics were running about $5 which seems to be higher then what I've looked to on the PSN. I got out of comics because I'd blow a ton of money on a small handful of issues that seemed to be 1/3 full of ads and I'd read through on my first bathroom break.

And I don't let people borrow my crap, you never know if your gonna get it back or what they did to it while they had it.
