Ridge Racer Drifts onto iPhone
by Chris Faylor, Dec 16, 2009 1:30pm PSTContinuing to roll its popular franchises onto iPhone and iPod touch, Namco has brought Ridge Racer to the iTunes App Store with Ridge Racer Accelerated.

As with Namco's other recent releases, the 50.8MB download sports an "opening celebration price"--this one ringing in at $2.99--with some game-expanding downloadable content already available and more promised for the future. However, those without an iPhone 3GS may want to hold off, as Namco warns that the game is recommended for the 3GS with "iPhone 3G optimization coming soon."
The current version packs two courses and eighteen cars, with over forty courses and sixty "machines" promised to arrive in 2010. Some of these will be free, while "some cars and courses may only be available through the online shop."

Guess I just don't get it or prefer something else from my little toy. If they have a demo I suppose I could try it, I haven't tried any racing games since I got this thing a year ago, they could have gotten better...
