Update: Described in a press release from publisher Activision as a reboot "inspired by classic Hollywood and Asian cinema style action thrillers," the Hong Kong-set, Triad-focused undercover cop game hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in fall 2010.

Original: The second world premiere out of the Spike Video Game Awards has arrived, revealing a new True Crime entry from ModNation Racers developer United Front.

True Crime: Streets of L.A. (2003) and New York City (2005)

Set in a Hong Kong-like locale, the trailer for the open-world action game detailed street-brawling, motorcycle and car-jacking hijinks, along with plenty of neon lights.

The first two entries in the series--L.A. and New York--were handled by Luxoflux, with no word on when the Activision-published sequel will hit or what platforms it'll be on.

Looks like the new True Crime is called Dragonhead?

Animation could be a little smoother, otherwise everything looks good.
