Serious Sam HD XBLA Release Date Announced

2
The belated console release of Croteam's modern day Serious Sam: The First Encounter revamp will hit Xbox 360 as a Live Arcade download on January 13, 2010.

The Serious Engine 3-powered high-definition revisiting of Croteam's 2001 original packs fifteen levels and four-player online co-op in its Xbox 360 incarnation, with the already available $19.99 PC edition sporting sixteen-player co-op.

Publisher Majesco, which announced the release date today, previously noted that the game would go for 1200 Microsoft Point / $15 on Xbox 360--we're checking in to see if that's still valid. A high-def revisiting of Serious Sam: The Second Encounter is already in the works at Croteam, due on PC and unspecified consoles in early 2010.

Just played through this on PC - insane fun especially if you have some buddies to co-op it with. Old school kill everything in sight, by level 4-5 you are fighting massive armies.
