Xbox Avatars Get Seasonal with Holiday Outfits, Sweaters and a Dreidel

Dreidel, dreidel, dreidel, once you were made of clay
Now you're on the Xbox, so for dreidel I must pay

The holidays arrived for Xbox 360 Avatars today, with the Xbox Live Marketplace now selling a variety of seasonal items, including horrid sweaters, festive hats and suits, and inedible gingerbread.

Prices range from 80 Microsoft Points / $1 (Santa Hat, Elf Hat, Happy New Year Hat) to 240 MS Points / $3 (Dreidel, Costumes, Noisemaker, Other Props), with Elf Shoes, Ugly Sweaters, Dashikis and Kaftans coming in at 160 MS Points / $2 each.

Sadly, Festivus was left out of the mix. Maybe next year?

Or you could spend that 1 to 3 bucks on something worthwhile like donating so people can actually have a meal over the holidays.

You would think Microsoft with its billions could just give out something like that as a holiday gift but oh well.

yeah this is kinda hilarious. not that I expect MS to be anything but commercial... but they always go one step further into that awkward sleazy territory.

Yes, You'd think Microsoft with its billions could just give away money to the needy, because that's what all publicly traded corporations do.

On the other hand, Bill Gates, with his billions can, and does donate hundreds of millions each year through the Bill and Miranda Gates Foundation

Corporations exist for no reason other than to make money, what the people who invest in that company do with the money they make from it is their business.

I could say that to pretty much everything you buy.

How much is your rent? Why not get something cheaper and give the rest to someone needed.
Did you buy a videogame? Why not skip out on it and give to the needy?
Did you eat a steak? Maybe you should stick to noodles and give what you saved to the needed.

Who cares what people buy, its their money. Especially when its $1-3, give it a rest.

Who cares? Some people do and if more did maybe the world wouldn't be circling the drain.
And you would be surprised what a few dollars can do for places like Feed the Children.

This argument can be held against any human that ever buys something that isn't essential to their survival. I really don't get your point.

I'd really rather feed my avatar because it doesn't break into my car at night. I wish Microsoft would do something about all this crime!
