But never mind that. They are good enough. The game is the important part. Since I speak German I played through that version, and it crashed a grand total of once. I was a zombie until I finished it. It was fun, stable, and didn't break.
A few of the triggers and conditions for things happening were weird, but I think that was because of how I played. I was forced to do a couple things that I wouldn't otherwise have done in order to trigger something, but I could have finished the game without them if I'd wanted to.
It's also less constrained. Monsters don't just hang out in discrete areas. This was driven home when I first started, and while observing the plain from my arrival hill, (not a plot spoiler at all. mood spoiler?) I watched a bloodsucker forage around, then head the hill, and then catch sight of me. Right at the start D:
I preferred weapon upgrades, faction relations, and quests as they were done in this game. While it wasn't quite as pants wetting for me as the first, I really enjoyed it. I think it was my favorite, and being able to play it without technical issues certainly helped.
