Morning Discussion

Another Morning Discussion already? Why, it feels like I was writing one only yesterday!

Grand Theft Auto IV's mobile phone is astonishingly realistic--I'm told it has all these fancy high-tech features but danged if I know how to use any of them!

I live in fear of video games-based standup.

Why did the frog cross the road? To get to the next level.

I ragequit Phantom Hourglass after losing my save following a long arduous temple session, but I've resolved to finish it again over vacation and then move on to this.

Seriously what kind of game in this day and age doesn't autosave :/

A lot of games don't have autosave.

What kind of gamer doesn't make sure they save after a long, arduous play session?

Pretty much the only genre for which autosaving at least at checkpoints is not the standard is JRPGs, which have explicit save points laid out in your path. What reason should I have to think that a professionally constructed game wouldn't have even the most rudimentary backup saves? Especially on a portable system with a battery life.

I am looking forward to this. But what a huge backlog I have to clear first :( NSMBW, Shooter, still not finished uncharted2 on hard, etc.
