Brutal Legend developer Double Fine has announced a second downloadable content pack for its heavy metal action adventure, rockingly titled 'Hammer of Infinite Fate.'

Arriving on December 17 for 480 Microsoft Points ($6) on Xbox 360 and $5 on PlayStation 3, Hammer of Infinite Fate adds new content for both multiplayer and singleplayer modes, including stony likenesses of Psychonauts star Razputin and Double Fine president Tim Schafer for Mount Rockmore.

A press statement gives the following full rundown of Hammer of Infinite's contents.

The Hammer of Infinite Fate pack allows players to upgrade Eddie Riggs with three new outfits including the Mountain Man, Black Metal and Zaulia Threads, as well as seven more back patches to slay the tainted coil in style. Eddie's trusted hotrod, The Deuce (aka The Druid Plow), will also get a face lift with four brand new paint jobs and four more upgrades that players can purchase including the Oculus of the Lost, an all-seeing GPS for the world, and the Eye of Sorrow, a weapon that harnesses the power of the Sea of Black Tears and launches black projectiles of doom at enemies, in addition to The Disgorger and the Coiling Maw.

Players will also be able to unlock 9 new achievements and trophies in Brutal Legend which are based on the latest additions of the Hammer of Infinite Fate expansion pack. Mount Rockmore will also see six more heads for players to purchase and unlock, including Rima, Razputin, Dadbat, Hunter, Kage the Kannonier and Tim Schafer himself.

Hammer of Infinite Fate further expands the Brutal Legend Stage Battle multiplayer experience with four new mind-melting multiplayer maps: the Altar of Blood, Coiled Remains, Crucible of the Titans and The Amplified Cliffs. Each map features a completely unique environment tailored to the Gods of Metal, with an in-game element of surprise that puts a strategic twist to every Stage Battle.

"I'm excited about the beard, or course, and the new achievements and trophies," said Double Fine president and future rocky face Tim Schafer. "But the thing I really can't wait to get my hands on is that Oculus of the Lost. Using it to find the last Bound Serpent isn't cheating, because it looks so cool on my car."

Brutal Legend's first DLC pack 'Tears of the Hextadon' contained only multiplayer maps.

they should add a DOTA style mode to multiplayer, that would be way more appropriate for this game - as it is multiplayer is way too complicated and stressful, and gives you way too few information about what is going on.

it's pretty simple as it is actually, it's just the controls and GUI are absolute shit.

whatever they change, the way it is just doesn't work good in multiplayer. sadly.

I agree even if they added some much needed things - troop icons, commands working farther shout distance, stat indicators (kind of fundamental to know what the fuck the units actually do), you're still left with a mode that's not that great even if you know every detail about it. I'm shocked Tim Shaffer never saw the problems with it, because they're so noticeable.
