The Video Game Release List of 12/6 - 12/12

Well folks, this is pretty much it for the year. After this week, there's just Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers on Wii, the retail release of Guitar Hero Van Halen and a varied assortment of mini-game compilations that may not make it.

If you're looking for a particular system, skip right to the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP sections.

Should you want to check out any past release lists, scope out our handy archive.

Barring any last-minute delays, like DiRT 2 PC and Avatar PSP experienced last week, this week's retail releases should be at North American shops by Wednesday, Dec 9.

This is another one of those games that I'm not going to be playing because they laid off almost all of the devs right after it was done. Thats BS and I won't support it. Rant over. I feel much better now :P

This week in December, every year, always feels like the late summer movie season. The big games were released in November. So what 's the snap judgment for best 09 holiday release? I'm going with the obvious, MW2. Props to Assassin's Creed 2 for Best Comeback of the Holday Year. Left4Dead 2 for Biggest Letdown of the Holiday Year.

For those of you thinking about buying The Saboteur on PC, there are rampant rumors - which are apparently true if EA's response is anything to go by - that the game has major issues with ATI cards, as in 90% of the time it doesn't even work.
