New Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Trailer is Flashlight Friendly

A new trailer for the Wii version of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is here to show you its "assets" and tease the impending release of the game next Tuesday.

Filled with dark moodiness, frantic flashlights, and lethal demon-hugs, the montage shows off some footage of Silent Hill's less-dead residents as well. The flashlight looks like it could be fun to use too, which is a good thing since you won't be packing heat this time around.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories comes out on December 8th for the Nintendo Wii. The game has also been announced for Sony's Playstation 2 and PSP but the release date for those platforms has yet to be revealed.

I hate everyone who doesn't want to play this game. Innovation is dead in video games. Every game is the exact same about running around and shooting things. Miraculously, someone decided to take a risk and be creative with this game. I just want to punch everyone who complains about the lack of guns. Go back to your FPS clones.

Looks good to me. But then again, Homecoming looked pretty good for a while, before it petered out into mediocrity in the second half of the game. And before that was Origins, which was...hmm, yeah. Oh well -- a fan can hope.

But the trailer does feature another fine song with Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. Akira Yamaoka's "You're Not Here" with her is still the best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wz3ufaZCoVw&fmt=18
