TV Station Sim M.U.D. Bringing Mad Ugly Dirty Television Management to North America

"Fed up with the same formulaic TV sitcoms? Is reality TV beyond real? Think you can do a better job?" publisher Kalypso asked today in a press release announcing the forthcoming North American release of television managment sim M.U.D. TV (PC).

Coming from Kaylpso-owned studio Realmforge (Ceville), the game casts players "as a top TV executive striving to raise ratings and advertising revenue" while managing everything from staff and actor hires to production and office space. Of course, this being the entertainment industry and all, everyone has a few "dirty tricks" to fall back on.

Along with computer-controller opponents, M.U.D. TV (short for "Mad Ugly Dirty Television") is also slated pack competitive and cooperative online multiplayer modes when it hits North American and the United Kingdom in March 2010.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.
