Mirror's Edge Running to iPhone, iPod touch
by Chris Faylor, Dec 02, 2009 8:29am PSTWall-running, roof-jumping heroine Faith Connors is coming to the iPhone and iPod touch, as Electronic Arts has announced that a portable entry in its parkour-inspired dystopian action series Mirror's Edge will hit the iTunes App Store in January.
Whereas the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 original utilized a first-person perspective, the portable iteration appears to be a side-scroller, with EA promising 14 levels and "dynamic camera angles [that] capture the intense action of this unique game."
Created by EA DICE and originally planned as a trilogy, Mirror's Edge debuted at retail in late 2008. A proper sequel has been repeatedly confirmed, though its fate in the wake of EA's latest wave of cost-cutting layoffs and cancellations is unknown.
