Darksiders Gone Gold
by Chris Faylor, Nov 25, 2009 10:30am PSTVigil's post-apocalyptic action games Darksiders has gone gold, according to a tweet from studio lead environment artist John Pearl.
"After all the hard work and long hours these last couple years...Darksiders has gone GOLD," he declared, confirming that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game is now off to manufacturing in advance of its retail debut on January 5 (North America) and January 7 (Europe).
Those who pre-order Darksiders from GameStop in North America will receive the 100-page art book and in-game "Harvester" weapon, with publisher THQ noting that "only GameStop pre-order customers will be able to harness The Harvester in-game."
A sequel is already planned by studio owner THQ, with the company having previously noted an expected release between April 1, 2011 and March 31, 2012.
