Eighty-eight seconds of uncut Battlefield: Bad Company 2 footage are on display in a new trailer from DICE featuring tanks, sniping and a spot of explosive demolition.

The action occurs on the map 'Arica Habor', the sole level in the multiplayer beta which begins today for PlayStation 3 pre-orders then in December for all and sundry on PC.

Published by EA, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 arrives for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 2. Pre-ordering also nets you a "day one advantage" through six multiplayer item unlocks. A multiplayer demo is planned, presumably arriving before the release.

Damn, this is looking good. I didn't buy MW2 because of the price, but I think I'm definitely going to spring for this right away.

Don't expect the price to drop either, COD4 didn't drop for AGES! But it's probably worth it, my theory is the extra $10 is their way of charging us for the DLC to come...

beautiful and engaging game, issues with multiplayer aside IW's COD formula is amazing!

When you factor in the awesome Spec-Ops mode - the prices suddenly becomes very much worth it for MW2 as it feels like you're getting 3-games-in-1.

when you factor in how badly IW sucks, it quickly becomes not worth it again.
