DiRT 2 PC System Requirements Released
by Chris Faylor, Nov 12, 2009 3:40pm PSTIn preparation of DiRT 2's PC debut on December 1, developer Codemasters has issued system requirements for the late-arriving, DirectX 11-supporting PC edition.
Along with the DirectX 11 enhancements, such as hardware tessellation, DiRT 2 PC will also pack Games for Windows Live integration.
- Recommended Specifications - Enhanced for DirectX 11
OS: Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Intel Core i7 or AMD Phenom II
Memory: 3GB
HD Space: 10GB
Video Card: ATi Radeon HD 5700 Series
Minimum Specifications
OS: Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 3400+
Memory: 1GB (2GB for Windows Vista)
HD Space: 10GB
Video Card: ATI Radeon X1500, NVIDIA GeForce 6800

They're basically saying, you should really have a $300 processor to play this game, but a $50 processor that you bought a few years back will run it.

You can use the excuse of "realism" all you want (the game would play just fine and be just as immersive and fun without them), but in the end you're just getting greedy.
