Left 4 Dead Team-based Versus Matchmaking Added

21
A Left 4 Dead patch yesterday added support for 4v4 Versus mode matchmaking, allowing teams of players to find matches against similarly organised opponents.

The feature was originally announced in April and its late arrival helped fuel the Left 4 Dead 2 boycott movement, who were dissatisfied with Valve's post-release support.

The sequel Left 4 Dead 2 arrives for PC and Xbox 360 on November 17. The demo is now available to everyone on all platforms, after opening to Live Silver members today.

So does L4D2 support this out of the box?

Should do. It was pretty clear they intended it to be mainly a L4D2 feature.

Hopefully it works slightly better in L4D2... It doesnt seem quite finished. For example we joined up got a piece of shit server, started a vote to return to the lobby it split us and the other team up, that was not expected.
