Two Worlds II Trailer Teases Story

By Chris Faylor, Nov 09, 2009 12:10pm PST Having previously detailed tree stumps in its last media update, publisher TopWare is now turning our attention towards the story of Two Worlds II with its latest update.

Once due this winter and now slated for a spring release, the action-RPG sequel is in development for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Mac. For more story, read on:

Long ago, the era of peace was shattered in a terrible war between rivaling nations, leaving the land of Antaloor broken and changed. The race of Orphans swore eternal service to the four elements and their deities - Maliel, the Goddess of Air; Throglyn, God of the Earth; Yatholen, God of Water; and Aziraal, God of Fire. Dark magic also grew in power over the centuries in secret, until it emerged from the shadows to seize control...

The Dark Lord Gandohar finally makes his move, planning to disrupt the balance between the elements and become a God himself. To accomplish this, he wants to harness the power of Aziraal, trapped within Kyra, the descendant of the Orphans. Despite her ancestry, Kyra cannot hope to endure the procedure for long. Having already conquered Antaloor, Gandohar devises a new plan from his stronghold in Oswaroth. If he succeeds, he will gain control over one of the most powerful characters in Antaloor...

The saga created by weaving together the main story and different sub-stories promises to captivate the players as they journey through the atmospheric masterpiece of Antaloor. As the story unfolds through gameplay and cutscenes, "Two Worlds II" offers a profound journey into Antaloor's past, as well as insight into the fate of a long-forgotten ruler's dynasty.

  • Nice to see it continues the story of the first game!! The ending was really unfullfilling and leaves you craving for more! I hope they'll improve their plot though, that was poor in the first game.

However I do hope that they bring their excellent item management system back that lets you combine similar items together. It was a lot of fun to see you found another weapon to upgrade yours and make it even more powerful!

Also the skills were cool, and the trailer shows some new moves! But I don't mind to keep some of the old ones as well. All together I can't wait for this game! I just finished the first one again last weekend to prepare for it! Bring it onnn!
