With BioWare's Mass Effect 2 fast approaching and the studio's latest, Dragon Age: Origins, having just arrived, digital distribution platform Steam has knocked 50% off the first Mass Effect--making the futuristic RPG just $9.99 in the United States.

I'm in my first playthrough, and have been for a month. this game is awesome, and I might buy it off steam just to compare the pc/xbox versions.
