Red Dead Redemption Screens Get Explosive

A few new screenshots of Rockstar San Diego's Red Dead Redemption arrived today, providing a glimpse of gorgeous vistas, exploding shacks and a midday gunfight.

Powered by the same engine as Grand Theft Auto IV, the open-world cowboy lifestyle game is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 during the first half of 2010.

Gorgeous looking game! Looking forward to it and hoping its even better than Bound in Blood.

I wonder what its gunfighting minigame will be like (never played the first).

RDR is my most anticipated game right now. I read somewhere that Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian was one source of inspiration for this, and that alone gives me a massive throbbing boner.
