Evening Reading

Hello and goodbye, Shacknews. After two and a half years of service, this will be my last Evening Reading. Following in former Shack employee Jason Bergman's footsteps, I've taken a position at Bethesda Softworks, where I'll be serving as a community manager.

I don't really do goodbyes, so I'll keep this short: My enduring thanks to Chris Remo, Steve Gibson and Maarten Goldstein, for giving me that rare shot and holding my hand as I stumbled through this crazy industry. And what can I say about my partner in posting, Chris Faylor? When I think of that core group, particularly those months in 2007, I have only intensely fond memories of satisfying work and immature carousing. I'm very glad to still count them as friends.

Further thanks to Alice O'Connor, and Aaron Linde, and all past Shack contributors for being excellent comrades; to GameFly and Garnett Lee, for keeping the Shack on the right track and making this easy; and finally, to you, Shackers, for your essential support. I've had a great ride, and it was only made possible by viewers like you. If you want to keep in touch, Twitter's a good place to find me. Follow me. Of course, I'll still stop by chatty regularly. You can take the man out of the Shack, but not the other way around.
