Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Released to Pre-orders
by Chris Faylor, Oct 27, 2009 6:00pm PDTThe downloadable demo for Left 4 Dead 2 is now available to those that have pre-ordered Valve's upcoming zombie shooter sequel.
The demo lets up to four online or LAN players sample the New Orleans-set "Parish" campaign, with "all the new melee weapons" and "all the new boss infected zombies." The Xbox demo also packs split-screen for two players.
Those that pre-order Left 4 Dead 2 PC via Steam will find the demo listed in their "My games" tab. Meanwhile, those that pre-order from "participating retailers" need to redeem a code provided by the store to access the respective PC or Xbox 360 download.
Those that don't pre-order will gain access to the PC demo next week on November 3. The same day, the Xbox 360 demo will be released to Xbox Live Gold members, with the remaining Xbox Live Silver members getting access a week later on November 10.
The full game hits PC and Xbox 360 on November 17. Along with early demo access, pre-orders get 10% off and an exclusive weapon, which is detailed below:
