Dragon Age: Origins Gone Gold, PlayStation 3 Version No Longer Delayed
by Nick Breckon, Oct 23, 2009 11:40am PDTWhile the PlayStation 3 of Dragon Age: Origins was looking to be delayed several weeks past the November 3 launch date, BioWare confirmed today that all three versions--Xbox 360, PC and PS3--will ship on the same day. Three DLC packs--The Stone Prisoner, the Blood Dragon Armor and Warden’s Keep--will also be available at launch.
The company also announced that Dragon Age has gone gold and is now off to manufacturing. To mark the occasion, we've got a new trailer highlighting the character of Oghren, the dwarven gladiator:
Chatty: Diablo III, Dragon's Dogma
FileShack: Unity of Command, Skyjacker
Daily Filter: Planetside 2, Deadlight
Weekend PC digital deals: strategy-o-rama
38 Studios, Harry Potter Kinect - Shacknews Daily: May 25, 2012

1. Why would or should I like this game, especially as a PC game.
and
2. Why or what would I dislike about it?
Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. With the removal of Modern Warfare 2 as a future purchase, it frees up the money for a different game - maybe this one. :)

Just the fact that DA was developed for PC first and then ported to console--not the other way around--is a moral reason to buy this game. I enjoyed KOTOR, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect as much as anyone, but I still fall back on the Infinity Engine games for a real dungeon crawl. The graphics do look a little rough, but I don't really care. The marketing vids are zoomed way in, but I think the game was meant to be played with an overhead camera. If there's a problem, the community will put together some kind of texture pack or higher-poly models soon enough. By the way, because of memory constraints, the console version won't let you zoom out all the way, and some of the bigger fights are split into waves.
