Aliens vs. Predator Trailer Comes out of the Walls

I really don’t like the look of this Aliens game. Too much Predator and not enough pure Aliens vs. Marines. Compared to GBX Aliens game its definitely looking like the weaker game both graphically and gameplay wise. Though I’ll admit I am not a huge fan of competitive MP, so Gearbox's coop game is much more up my street. I just like how close it looks to the movies. That’s what I really want from an Aliens game, I want to be in the movie. AvP, its more about being in the comics I guess. Its never delivered a good movie portrayal in previous instalments, and its clear they still don’t care about being authentic to the Alien movies in this one either, so…I’ll be giving it a miss and opting for ME2 until ACM comes out.

Looks cool if your into Predators though.

I would love an AvP game that combined the atmosphere of Rebellion's AvP game, the co-op gameplay of L4D, and the graphics horsepower of Crysis.

As someone who didn't find the AvP2 game sequel all that great (sorry Monolith - removing destructible terrain features was a huge problem and the game engine game me massive nausea), I'm very stoked that Rebellion is crafting this very cool-looking game. Sweet!

The Trailers have looked great - my only gripe is that the Aliens look a bit too much like the one in Alien 3, which wasn't my favorite in style or appearance. I prefer the Alien look from the 1st and/or 2nd movies, myself. But it's hardly a deal-breaker. Everything else looks superb!

I want this now. Thank you SEGA for giving it to Rebellion.

Buy the game, its the only way to be sure

This is really looking sexy so far. Those initial screenshots were definitely too good to be true though, so I hope everything else isn't. They were really something special, but the game itself doesn't even look to come close, after seeing some realtime footage like this. Still, it's looking nice. And the few gameplay videos I've seen have looked promising. Don't suck.

After playing Shellshock 2, there's no way anything good could come out of this company anymore. This is just slickly edited footage nothing else. You can even tell how flat the graphics look from it.

Has anyone here ever played that Quake 2 mod where you could be a predator? I think it was called Night Hunters? That was also an awesome mod! Just had to think about it when watching this trailer :)

Hope this one turns out well. The first games were such good tributes to the franchise, properly choosing the Alien universe as their setting and making the gameplay more or less the way you'd imagine it to be.

AvP 2 was one of my favorite games to play. As a matter of fact, if the servers hadn't been shut down I might still be playing.

With that being said, I'm looking forward to this game.

Playing as aliens was a blast .. Predator and human were a bit less interesting (read standard)...

btw any news on Deadly Creature for the Wii?

Hahaha for some reason I found it funny looking the way the alien looks when the camera shows him running and all you see is its head and arms moving as its hauling ass.

I want lifecycle in Multiplayer again, where you can be the facegrabber. Being a facegrabber was the best thing about Avp2. It was a million times more fun than just being an alien.

I've loved the first two titles (not the AvP2 expansion but that other company), but I have some concern about Rebellion as a developer. They've only developed one truly good game: AvP. I REALLY hope their new game lives up to, and surpasses, the original. Yes, the trailer looks good, but they haven't had a good track record since the 2000s.

God if they have a feature where alien players can actually embed themselves into the alien walls for camofluage like in the video.... that would be just so fucking cool.....
