worst port ever.

yay! bought it yesterday. this game is fuuuuun. and i mean different fun from GTA4.

OK, has anyone run this thing on PC with no issues?

The occasional framerate stutters and hiccups were NOT enough to stop me from enjoying this game -- kind of like Gears of War PC. I had A LOT of fun w/ it and its addictive as hell. Eliza Dushku actually does a good job w/ her voice-acting, too.

Had to run game on LOWEST res' (640x480) w/ low textures AND medium shadows to get it running half-way decent -- Win XP Home, Intel P4 3.0 Ghz with Hyper threading, 2 GB RAM, 512 MB GeForce 8800 GT DDR3 RAM.

For $7.50, whether you run it on this PC or your next one, you can't go wrong.

It's gonna be a BIG download -- around 15 GB or so.

The game's a blast, if your PC can handle it and you can actually handle the occassional framerate stutters -- if you have any. Usually, I had them when there was TOO much traffic on-screen w/ vehicles. Lots of enemies on-screen won't really do anything to you.

Still wish they put out the X360 DLC of SR2 on the PC, though....

Alright I'll give. For this price, on Steam, I'll risk possible performance issues and not be too pissed if there are.

I wouldn't want it for free, let alone pay seven bucks for it. The game is a horrible port and they dropped the support for it months ago. Merely mentioning the PC version on the official forums will get you banned by their Nazi moderators. Volition can go fuck itself, as far as i am concerned. I have never come across a more unprofessional developer as them.

$7.50 is a steal on a game that is far more fun than GTA IV.

I'll let Yahtzee sell this one.

It's interesting that they never bothered allowing the community to work on it in a manner similar to Bloodlines, though I suppose that happened because Troika went out of business...

This was pure fun on Xbox.

It's official now. They will not make any more patches, bug fixes or improvements for the PC version of Saints Row 2.

Can't go wrong at 7 bucks.

I keep hearing how bad this PC port is but this game is SO freakin' fun on 360 in co-op.

I really wish this game wasn't a worthless buggy port because this seems like my type of game.

Yeah, basically the port is a disaster. It runs like crap, the fastest cars are impossible to drive, and pretty much a big mess.

Its not polished or carefully done in the slightest, but the game is fun. At this price, I could over look it, but I was severely pissed off when I paid full whack

Isn't the PC port supposed to be prohibitively buggy or sommit? If not this is a definite purchase.

Interesting fact: This is the first game that seems to have the right Euro conversion. It is 5 Euro, while normally it would have been the same as dollar, read: 7.50 Euro
