CryEngine 3 Released to Devs
by Nick Breckon, Oct 14, 2009 2:44pm PDTCrytek today unleashed the third iteration of its CryEngine graphics platform in announcing the official release of CryEngine 3.
The engine is the Crytek's first stab at a cross-platform solution, allowing developers to work with a single editor and output the results to a PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in real-time. Other, more flashy features are outlined in the following video:

To be honest, the lighting looks better, but besides, that they don't seem to have performed many upgrades to the tech..

It will mean lot's of great looking games that were created with a single tool. For a development house looking to do cross platform games this looks like it could be a godsend
