The look of the JRPG has become so incredibly generic... Anime has painted itself into a corner, where they have to obey the cliche big-eyes-no-nose-scifi-meets-RenFair-tech-meets-magic look in order to satisfy core fans, but it is numbing, like having Novocaine poured on your eyeballs.

I thought the game looked interesting at first. Now after looking at combat it seems like i'll be mashing more buttons and switching between characters faster than i'l be doing anything else. I don't want to babysit all my characters, I want them to do stuff on their own. For all it's faults I did like the Tales combat system, it worked rather well. This just seems like it's trying waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too hard to be unique.
