Final Fantasy 14 Screens: Social Welding

Square Enix has released a single new Final Fantasy XIV screenshot showing the MMORPG's blacksmithing, as well as scores of stills from the most recent trailer.

Should you happen across a catgirl in need of amusement, simply slip on your goggles and gauntlets and get welding on a pipe--as professions are determined by equipment.

Final Fantasy XIV is scheduled for release on PC and PlayStation 3 in 2010, though an Xbox 360 version is not impossible as Square Enix is "considering all options."

I've always been a fan of FF games but damn it's so hard to find the time to play these any more. FF1, FF7, FF8, and FFX were some of the most memorable gaming experiences I've had.
