First Commandos Hits Good Old Games

The hits just keep on coming, as classic-focused digital distribution outlet Good Old Games today added Pyro Studios' PC RTS Commandos to its offerings.

The $5.99 download packs Commands: Behind Enemy Lines (1998) and its expansion Beyond the Call of Duty (1999). No word yet if the two sequels will also be re-released, though we're checking in with GOG to find out. Thanks to Taczbr for the tip.

I never played the first game, but Commandos 2 was defintely awesome. Was Commandos 3 any good? I remember trying the demo when it came out, but it just didn't grab me at the time.

I've never tried the Commandos series, but I enjoyed the first Desperadoes game. There's something just awesomely satisfying about popping out of a field of corn to knife a man.

Sidenote: Goog Old Games?

YAY!

Damn, the first one was too difficult when I was that age.

These days they all seem a comfortable challenge.. The third is the best.

And surprisingly, the FPS spinoff is also a very enjoyable game =)
