Borderlands PC System Requirements Released, Steam Pre-order Knocks $5 Off

Though the PC release of Borderlands isn't due until October 26--a week after the PlayStaiton 3 and Xbox 360 editions--digital distribution outlet Steam is looking to make the wait a little easier on your wallet by knocking 10% off PC pre-orders.

That brings the price of Gearbox's shooter-RPG down from $50 to $45 on the PC--$15 cheaper than the $60 console editions. Of course, you'll need to make sure your rig can run it--thankfully, the developer passed along these system requirements.

OS: Windows XP/Vista
Processor: 2.4 Ghz or equivalent processor
Memory: 1GB System RAM (2GB recommended with Vista)
Graphics: 256mb video ram or better (GeForce 8 series or higher/Radeon R8xx series)
Hard Drive: 8 GB or more free space
Sound: Windows compatible sound card

Nice. I was already looking forward to buying this game on Steam. The discount only made it sweeter.
