  Exactly, Ashley would never have been doing the things she did in Mass Effect - i.e. being a soldier, shooting people etc. She was too cute and innocent. This character design is much more believable, despite the awful script she's been given.
  
  I hate it when video games have unrealistically beautiful, cute and girly female characters doing things like shooting guns and acting like badasses. It wouldn't happen. At least in this tattooed character we have a gun-toting female who is at least one tiny molecule more believable than all the ultra-hot ass-kicking chicks in most games and crappy action movies. I can actually believe that this character, while being quite hot, would also be interested in shooting people, because she's a skinhead and she's covered in tattoos. She looks the part, so I don't have to wearily pretend to ignore the unbelievability of another incredibly beautiful model doing something that, even in the universe of the game, she would have utterly no interest in doing. At least you can believe that this character might actually want to fix a spaceship engine or fire a laser rifle.
