Final Fantasy 13 Tokyo Game Show Trailer

This is less like Final Fantasy and more like "Days of Our Lives"

I still regard FFVII as one of, if not THE best game I've ever played, but this trailer is kind of ridiculous. I guess they're pandering heavily to the Japanese school-girl with the J-Pop and the 16-year-old-girl drama (acted out by men). I don't mind drama when done right, and I don't even mind the men looking as beautiful as the women, but 3 minutes into the rainbow-unicorn j-pop music I was ready to throw up. It started off well enough.

And another thing that gets to me is that no matter how much these characters get hit or take damage, they always look perfect. Not a drop of blood, not a ruffled bit of pointy, coiffed, or feathered hair. I suppose too many scenes like that would give away the story, but the lack of it really makes the characters look less like people and more like cartoon characters.

I would still stab my dog at a chance to play this, but c'mon, lose the damn j-pop for the North American release!

-way too much particles effect
-emo characters
-giant robots giant dinosaurs

I never really played a FF before, hows the story ? I played MGS4 not long ago and the story was freakin terrible (24h of cutscene or something?)

Is it just me, or does it appear combat is going back to turn based? If so, that makes me a very happy panda

Looks cool, but I still am a bit disappointed they are going back to a turn based system, thought FF12 was such a huge step forward. Granted, it does look fast paced, so I won't rule it completely out until I can play it.

I'm seeing a weird trend here...

7, 9, and 12 seemed to be a different art direction and characters design from....

8, 10, and now this 13 ....

I've played and been a fan of FF since the initial one...

But this really isn't doing anything for me....

And there's no place for a 'fro' in Final Fantasy... freakin terrible....

Her ponytail is so 80's it hurts.

I hate to say it but I think I'm actually over the Final Fantasy series. I haven't played on I really loved since FF9 nearly 10 years ago.
