Dead Rising 2 Screenshots, Multiplayer Details Arrive
by Alice O'Connor, Sep 25, 2009 5:59am PDTNew Dead Rising 2 screenshots show a selection of the wild and wonderful weapons hero Chuck will use to beat a path through the zombie hordes of Fortune City, from lowly knives, chairs and stuffed marlins to the fearsome paddle-saw and wheelchair tank.
The monster-mashing sequel will also pack "A series of multiplayer challenges for up to four players via online play," including "jumping into giant hamster balls and mowing down the undead; seeing who can place the most drill buckets on zombies' heads," "taking to the arena on a motorbike with chainsaws for handlebars" and deadly metal antler mayhem. Players can also "fight dirty" and interfere with others' scoring.
Developed by Blue Castle Games "in close collaboration with Capcom" and "a number of members from the original Dead Rising team... working alongside," Dead Rising 2 is slated for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 some time before March 31, 2010.
